Being born and raised in Montana, Heather Oltrogge quickly grew an intense love for the breathtaking landscapes of the state. She was first introduced to art by her late uncle Dan when she was just 5 years old and has been creating ever since. Oltrogge has been featured in multiple exhibitions across Montana, including MSUB’s 2021 Juried Student Exhibition.
While mainly working with oil paints, Oltrogge has made art from a multitude of mediums, from watercolors to digital art, to even epoxy resin, she is always looking for new forms of creating. What first started as a way to express her love for her home state developed into a strong passion for art and a desire to share that with others.
"If I can't be an artist I'll be nothing."
